SEMINAR LOCATIONS AND SCHEDULE
For the Fall 2008 session, the Exam FM review seminar
will be offered in New York. The seminar fee is $295.
The schedule and locations are as follows.

In the seminar, the aim is to review all course topics
in as much detail as possible in the allotted time, with
an emphasis on developing efficient problem identification
and problem solving skills while reinforcing fundamental
understanding of concepts. The seminar will be
lecture format, in which important underlying concepts
will be reviewed along with presentation of solutions
to many former exam and exam-related problems. Prof. Broverman
is available by e-mail and telephone, both
before and after the seminar for questions that arise
relating to the exam and the seminar study material. At
the seminar, there will be time for questions in both
a group and individual setting.
The study material for the seminar is the S. Broverman
study guide for Exam FM. The study guide is sent out about
6 to 8 weeks in advance of the seminar. The seminar fee
includes the study material.
EXAM FM STUDY GUIDE
The study guide contains about 330 pages of notes and
problem sets, including over 75 examples with detailed
solutions, and about 175 problems in the problem sets, all with detailed
solutions. Many of the examples and problems
are taken from prior SOA. The
study guide also contains 7 practice exams of 30 questions
each with detailed solutions.

Participants are strongly urged to thoroughly review the
study guide material and exam catalog reference material
prior to the seminar.
